Looking Forward to the Future

Today I asked Carson what he wanted to be when he grew up. He said, "An elephant! See, I have a long trunk!" (He opened his mouth and showed me his teeth!) He then went on to tell me "You and NeeNee will be leopards and Daddy will be a tiger!" I wonder what leopard housewives do all day long. It could be a good career move!

Fat Lip

This is his FAVORITE outfit. He picked it out himself at Children's Place! But the darn slicky pants make it hard to hold onto him!



Poor Carson! For the 2nd time in less than a weeks time, he has a fat lip! A few days ago he just wiped out on the kitchen floor and smacked his face on the floor. Lots of blood and bruising, but he recovered just in time for round two! Saturday it was so beautiful here...in the 50s. So I took the kids to the park. As we were getting into the car, he face planted again right on the asphalt! I might have had a little something to do with this one too :( Poor guy! Last night when a Verizon lady stopped by to try to sell us FIOS, he told her, "My Mommy just dropped me on my face!" Great! It's those darn slicky pants he insists on wearing these days!

How Much TV is Too Much?

Carson and I were at the Children's Museum today. While he was playing with the train table, the trains kept falling off the track. Each time Carson would yell out, "Don't get mad, get Glad!" All of the other parents looked at him and me and laughed, but I was so embarrassed. It wouldn't be so bad if that was the only commercial phrase of choice. The other day we were in Lowes and he kept saying, "Wow! That's a low price!" (Staples commercial, I think). He also likes "Eat Fresh!" Whew! I think we need a little less TV in this house!

Snow Day

Last Friday Camryn had a snow day. She and Carson played so well together the whole day. At one particular time I thought it was way too quiet up in the playroom. I went up to investigate. They had dressed themselves in a stack of clothes that were too small for them and too ugly for me to wear anymore. The pants Camryn are wearing are actually a size 2T! It was pretty funny to sneak up on them and spy for just a little bit! These pictures are when they were coming down to show me how lovely they looked!

Waterpark

It's tradition to head to the Grand Harbor Resort in Dubuque with my dad whenever we're all together. This year was no exception. The kids absolutely love it, and seem to be able to swim forever! Fun bonding time with cousins!

Carson was so excited to see his cousin, Harper! He wanted to hold him the minute he got in the door. He would have jumped in the infant seat with him if he could have! They were so cute together!

Fun with Friends

While we were in Iowa were were able to see some of our friends from Iowa and Colorado! We met the Sogards in Eldora and the Halupnicks in Clear Lake. We also had an unexpected meeting with the Kalainoff's at the Waterloo Mall! It was great to see how much everyone has grown in just 6 months!

Christmas Morning

The kids were so excited that Santa found them at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Iowa. They waited so patiently for the 5 adults to be ready for them to see what Santa had brought!
