You Might Be A Porcupine...

If you accidentally bump your leg into your daughter and she says, "Mom, it feels like you have quills!" you might be a porcupine! I guess I'll have to shave more often!

Preschool Graduate

Camryn's preschool graduation was yesterday. It was sad to have to say good-bye to all of her friends and teachers at Paddington Station. This was the first step in getting ready to move to Pittsburgh. We're starting to say good-bye to a lot of people for the last time...the dentist, the pediatrician, and now preschool.

Looking back to September 2nd, her first day of preschool, we realize just how much progress we've made! Camryn used to cry every single day when I dropped her off. And it wasn't just a couple tears; it was full-fledged bawling! This went on untl probably February! It was hard on both of us. I'm sure we'll have another long transition period starting kindergarten in Pittsburgh, but we'll get through that too!

Colorado Springs

Well, we already have our house in Pittsburgh (we found it through Craigslist, so I hope we still have it when we show up in June!) so we decided we didn't need to take that trip. Plus, our time in Colorado is getting down to the end, so we need to start squeezing in things we've been saying we want to do for the last 5 years! So, this week we took a vacation to Colorado Springs. It was so much fun! We went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where the kids we able to get up close to many different animals. We fed the giraffes, held a skunk, got face to face with grizzly bears, and so much more! It was by far the best zoo we've been to! We also went to the Cave of the Winds and Garden of the Gods. Of the 3, the zoo was our favorite destination. You'll notice Carson isn't in many of the pictures. I should have probably documented how big of a "sally" he was on this trip! He was scared of all of the animals, and started freaking out right before we went into the cave. Weird!

Carson Strikes Again

We went to the mall today. Carson has a habit of running away and not looking back, so he gets strapped into the stroller! We were looking at dresses for me while Camryn was pushing the stroller through the dresses. Carson had grabbed a dress, and Camryn's attempt to make him let go was pushing the stroller forward while he was yanking the dress. The next thing I know, I look up and 4 racks of dresses are going down in a domino affect. There was nothing I could do but stand there and watch...my mouth wide open! An associate walked over, saw the mess, said "Oh, Dear! Oh, My!" and walked away. When the crashing was over, my friend and I picked up about 200 dresses, cracking up the entire time. We decided that was probably our cue to leave the mall! If it's not one thing, it's another with that boy!

From 4 to 2!

Camryn officially made the transition from 4 wheels to 2 this afternoon! Jerrod took off her training wheels. She was a little apprehensive at first, but by the time she reached the end of our block, there was no stopping her! She had a permanent smile on her face the whole time. She's so proud of herself and so are we! (Sorry the video is sideways; I can't get it rotated. I'll take more video tomorrow the other direction!)

Great Mother's Day Gift

I just wanted to post this for all my mother friends out there. My friends and I are making these for ourselves for Mother's Day. I remember doing this when I was in 1st grade!
