It's official...

As of June 16th we are officially the parents of a 1st grader! Camryn finished her kindergarten year knowing how to read AND write! You should see the stack of stories, "informational how-to's", "personal narratives", etc that we have around the house! It's amazing to me. Her progress report came today with all 3s! (based on a scale of 1 being the lowest and 3 the highest) Needless to say, we're pretty proud of our little girl!

Sharing

This doesn't happen very often in our household, so I thought I had better document it! Camryn and Carson are sharing a chair AND the markers!

Happy Birthday, Camryn

Coming in to get out of the rain

Playing "Dog Trainer Says"

A Game of "Ruff, Ruff, Meow!"

Camryn celebrated her birthday, the 2nd time around, with a dog-themed party at our house. There were 14 kids running around in our backyard and then in the house when it started pouring! It was exhausting, but they had a good time!

Memorial Day Weekend

I know, I should be posting about Camryn's birthday, but no matter how hard I try, I just can't get life to slow down. This is my attempt!

We spent Memorial Day weekend at Aunt Sue's house in Virginia. She lives in a neat wooded area close to a lake. We spent the majority of our time playing at the beach! It was so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Jerrod and Carson enjoyed their first kayak ride together. I thought it was pretty brave of Jerrod to take him out. Those things are too tippy for me! Check out Carson's iron man suit! He's actually flexing his muscles for me in the one picture.

Camryn had a blast with ALL 5 of the dogs! She also enjoyed her first of many birthday celebrations!

Cooper got in on the action too. He loved swimming! He just walked to the end of the dock and jumped in!

Chick-Fil-a...or McDonald's

Last night we went down to Chick-fil-a because they were having a firetruck and firefighters on the site. Camryn and Carson had a good time crawling around the truck and checking everything out. As we were wrapping it up, the Chick-fil-a cow came over to talk to us. Carson asked, "What does your shirt say, Cow?" Apparently the cow isn't allowed to talk, so I said, "What do you think it says, Carson?" To which he replied loud and clear, "MCDONALDS!!!!" So innocent and hilarious!!
