Soccer on the Turf

Camryn's soccer team was able to play on the turf for yesterday's game! They needed to put up fences and guardrails! If one kid kicked the ball from the other end and no one got in front of it, it would just roll right into the goal! Defense was key for the turf!

Also, notice the "snaggle tooth" in Camryn's mouth! She refuses to let us pull that tooth out. It's hanging by a thread! GROSS!!

Special Friends Day

Today was Special Friends Day at school. Camryn had the honor of taking one of our neighbors, Fran. Bob and Fran are our stand-in grandparents. The kids both love them and run over to their house every time they are outside. In fact, on move-in day, I couldn't find Carson at one point. I looked out in the backyard and found him over at Bob and Fran's! I didn't know Bob and Fran yet, but we were quickly introduced!

Fran was impressed with the way kindergarten has changed. She commented that it was more like 1st grade. Here are some pictures of Camryn showing Fran her journal, which she writes in every morning.

My Husband's Quarter-Life Crisis

Jerrod was busy on his iPhone at dinner the other night. I wasn't sure what he was up to. Turns out he had wrestling on his mind! He found these mats on Craigslist and went to pick them up that night! Camryn had a great time helping get the basement ready for them. Carson just loves wrestling with his daddy. He was up at 6:30 this morning, and the first words out of his mouth were, "Mommy, can we wrestle?" I told him he had to wait until Daddy woke up. Jerrod walked down the steps at 8 and immediately Carson ran to him and said, "Daddy, it's time for wrestling!!" Camryn prefers to use them for gymnastics!

Muddy Buddy

It rained here for 5 days straight last week. Poor Camryn had 2 fieldtrips cancelled because of it. But Cooper had a good time finding mud puddles in the backyard!

JBF Can Be a Verb

If you don't know already, there is a sale I found in Denver, and now here in Pittsburgh, called the JBF (Just Between Friends) Sale. It's basically a consignment sale for everything related to kids/babies. Around our house, JBF is becomming a verb. When the kids are in trouble and choose not to listen to Jerrod and me, they get a toy put in JBF time-out. Yesterday Carson was being mean to Cooper, just antagonizing him. So, I asked him if he thought we should just get rid of our puppy. He said, "Yeah, let's JBF him." Poor Cooper! But if he doesn't outgrow this chewing phase soon, something will have to be done!
