Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix

Carson was pretty sure Lightning McQueen was in this truck!

This one has a face!

Checking out that engine!

This car finished 2nd in its division!

We took the kids up to the 27th Annual Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix this weekend. Carson was in heaven!! He loved the cars and was especially excited about their engines. One of the plastic surgeons Jerrod has worked with has a Porsche he races. We got to see him finish 5th in his division just after we had sat in that car and tried on his helmet!

So Tolerant

We are so lucky to have such a tolerant dog! As I type, Carson is standing on Cooper's head! Poor dog! Yesterday, Carson picked up Cooper's tail and took a big bite of it! What was that about? The other day I found Camryn and Carson doing this to Cooper...

Shark Infested Waters or...

Aw! How can you stay mad at that face?

a teething puppy! Either way it was bad news for Ariel! Some one's going to be mad about this!

Kennywood

I love this picture of the kids together on the Whippersnapper!

Jerrod and I took the kids to Kennywood Park again this summer. Kennywood is an amusement park that originated in 1898 as a trolley park. It still has 3 old wooden roller coasters, Kiddieland, and the original carousel pavilion from 1898, and a miniature train from the 20s. The movie "Adventureland" was filmed here. Anyway, we rode a few rides as a family: The Log Jammer, The Kangaroo and The Jack Rabbit (much to Camryn's dismay). She just doesn't know she likes roller coasters yet. She'll figure it out soon! The pictures they take of you on the roller coasters were priceless! The looks on the kids' faces...hilarious! We had a great time!

Kinder Kinetics

Carson's "green friend" Jordan (the college guy)

Camryn and Rosie

"Herding Cattle"

Playing "boxing" with a friend

Pretending like he didn't just poke the girl in line in front of him...sigh.

The kids have been in Kinder Kinetics Summer Program at the University of Pittsburgh for the last 3 weeks. They each have an hour of swimming and an hour of gym time, a lot like PE class. I especially enjoyed my 2 hours each day to run errands kid-free or workout at the gym! The kids had a great time too!

Happy Belated 4th of July!

Jerrod swears Cooper was embarrassed by the bandanna! I think he looks handsome!

This is our camera on fireworks mode...hmm, maybe a little too close!

We finally received our new power cord to the computer, so I can start blogging again!

We spent the evening of the 4th at a nearby park. The kids had fun playing frisbee and throwing around a football and baseball. Cooper had a great time meeting all of the other dogs. After a picnic dinner the fireworks started. We were sadly disappointed (well, I was anyway). The kids were too busy with their glow sticks to watch fireworks. Pittsburgh has some of the best fireworks, but we were too far away to enjoy them. Last year we watched them from the river, right down where they shoot them off from! It was amazing!

At 10:30 when we got home, Jerrod brought out his version of fireworks! Black Snakes, Pop-things, and colored sparklers (he kept it G rated!). The kids, including Jerrod, had a blast in the backyard for about an hour!

Know it All

Yesterday out of the blue Carson says to me, "Mommy, Cooper knows everything! And Shrek. Cooper and Shrek know everything!" Just in case you were wondering...
