One of the things we are really going to miss about where we live in Pittsburgh is Frick Park. We are just a block away from wooded trails with streams and all kinds of opportunities to explore nature.

Gateway Clipper Fleet
We were told by Camryn's preschool teacher, that when we moved out to Pittsburgh, we needed to be sure to take a riverboat tour aboard the Gateway Clipper Fleet. Well, after 2 and 1/2 years, we finally did it last weekend. The weather was gorgeous and so was the scenery!

The Science Museum
We explored the Carnegie Museum of Science yesterday with Grandma and Grandpa Keith. We had so much fun, we decided to get a family membership! The water table and the giant train display were the biggest hits. We also saw the Omnimax show, "Under the Sea," explored a real submarine, played with robots, and so much more!

The Duquesne Incline

We rode the Historic Duquesne (pronounced Ducane) Incline last night. The view of Pittsburgh from the top was amazing. We started at the top and headed down. Carson cried and was completely petrified at first. (I have to admit, I was a little scared too!) At the bottom we found Station Square with a water fountain set to music. We're really enjoying Pittsburgh and all it has to offer.

Lost in Frick Park
The kids and I decided to venture out on our bikes today. Frick Park is a beautiful, wooded park with several trails that lead to who knows where. Camryn, Carson and I started out on a trail and decided to see where it took us. We ended up walking the last 5/8 of a mile, pushing our bikes uphill, and we came out with scratches and scrapes all over our legs! At one point Camryn said, "I want to stop. I can't do this. I'm a city girl!" Whoa! I'm not sure where that came from. We have some toughening up to do! Carson on the other hand would have run the whole trail had I let him out of the bike trailer!
This isn't our first adventure here in Pittsburgh. We have found plenty of fun things to do. In the last 3 weeks, we have gone to Kennywood amusement park, the Zoo and PPG Aquarium, the Children's Museum, and Spray Park. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the camera for the first couple of trips. Then when I found it, the battery was dead! We'll get things together soon!
