One of the great things about heading east to Pittsburgh was that we got to stop in Iowa and visit friends and family. Our first stop was at Jerrod's grandparents in Bronson. Their farm is like a petting zoo. They have almost any pet a kid could want! This time Camryn and Carson were especially excited about the goats, colts and kittens. I'm pretty sure the kittens were excited to see us leave! Carson still isn't quite sure how to pick them up, but I know it's not by their throats! AHH!

Leaving Behind Old Memories
I know this happened over a week ago, but I still feel like I need to record it for history.
Sunday, June 21st, Jerrod and Dick picked up the moving truck. It brought mixed feelings when I saw it parked in our driveway: I was finally going to have somewhere to put all of these boxes I had been packing for a month now. But at the same time, it meant that the move to Pittsburgh was really going to happen.
We had great help with Jerrod's parents, aunts, and several of Jerrod's fellow residents. We were able to head for Iowa a day sooner than planned. I cried as I made the final walk-through and shut the door behind me for the last time. We had to leave many good friends and memories behind. Here's to the memories that we will create over the next 3 years!
