Back to reality this morning! Camryn started her first day of 1st grade. I can't believe how quickly she is growing up. (What's even more amazing is that Jerrod and I never get any older! ) She wasn't too excited about who her teacher was until she learned that 3 other students who were in her kindergarten class were going to be in her 1st grade room. I'm not sure who had the hardest time adjusting to the new school year, Camryn or Carson. Carson was confused as to why we weren't continuing down the hall to Camryn's old classroom. He also couldn't find any of the toys he used to play with in the kindergarten room! An adjustment for everyone. I'm anxious to see how her first day went.

Weekend in the Woods
What better way to end the summer than a family camping trip! We headed to Moraine State Park on Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday morning. Fishing, S'mores, learning how to swim (yes, Camryn learned almost as quickly as she learned to ride her bike! She was so proud of herself), Hobo dinners, UNO, Guess Who, rain, and mud!

Photo Shoot

Camryn and I had a girl's date last night. We went and had her 6 year pictures taken...just a little behind schedule, and then we went out for dinner at one of the kids' favorite restaurants, Cici's Pizza. She said she had so much fun getting her pictures taken. I asked what her favorite part was and she said, "posing for the pictures!" We're in trouble!

Testing, Testing, 1,2,3
Camryn has been testing out new language. For instance the other day, when she was getting ready for bed she just randomly said, "Murder pilge." I asked her if she knew what those words meant. She didn't and when I told her what murder meant, she said she shouldn't ever say that word again! Then the other night she was playing Super Mario Bros on the Wii and Mario died and she said, "sh_t." We were at a friend's house and the 4 of us adults looked at her and said, "What did you say?" She repeated it without hesitation. She's so innocent and has no clue that she's saying something inappropriate! I'm just glad she's testing them out on us rather than her friends at school!
