No Babies Please...

Camryn and I were flipping through the channels yesterday and came upon "A Baby Story" on TLC. We watched for a few minutes. The woman in labor was obviously in pain, and the doctors were discussing options with her. I looked over at Camryn and she was obviously worried about the poor woman. She looked at me and said, "Mommy, I don't EVER, EVER want to have babies!" I asked her why, and she said, "Just tell me, how do I make sure I never have babies?" I told her she might change her mind someday when she's married and much older. She held firm, "No, how do I make sure I NEVER have babies!" TLC's Baby Story will be my back-up when she turns 13ish and wants to know more about the birds and the bees and BOYS!

On a side note, I saw a shirt yesterday that said "Boys give me a tummy ache!" Should have gotten that as a reminder too!

The Science Museum

We explored the Carnegie Museum of Science yesterday with Grandma and Grandpa Keith. We had so much fun, we decided to get a family membership! The water table and the giant train display were the biggest hits. We also saw the Omnimax show, "Under the Sea," explored a real submarine, played with robots, and so much more!

Last night we had the opportunity of a lifetime. One of my good friends from high school (he played the piano for our wedding) plays "keys" for Julianne Hough. She was touring with George Strait along with Blake Shelton in Pittsburgh last night. Not only did Tim get us tickets for the show, we also got to hang with Julianne and her crew on their tour bus! It was so much fun to meet Julianne and Blake, but it was especially great to get to reconnect with Tim!

The Duquesne Incline

We rode the Historic Duquesne (pronounced Ducane) Incline last night. The view of Pittsburgh from the top was amazing. We started at the top and headed down. Carson cried and was completely petrified at first. (I have to admit, I was a little scared too!) At the bottom we found Station Square with a water fountain set to music. We're really enjoying Pittsburgh and all it has to offer.

The "Super Secret Surprise"

Camryn and Carson were told they had a "super-secret surprise" on the way. It was Grandma and Grandpa Keith all the way from Iowa! They were so surprised to see them at the front door just in time for dinner Thursday night. We made a banana cream pie for dessert with mint garnish from our backyard. Camryn was a great chef!
